With the commencement of the new season fast approaching, I would like to welcome 3 new companies which have come on board to show their support to myself and the team at Kristin Vermeulen Motorsport for the 2017-18 season. 2016-2017 recap Another
season done and dusted and what a blast the 2016-17 season
has been. Once again racing in New Zealand in the Super
Saloon and Australia in the Late Model, what an experience
it was. It has been very busy juggling racing in two classes
in two countries, flying back and forth week in and week
out. We had ups and downs with both cars but that’s just
racing. A few mechanical failures on the Super Saloon saw
us have a slow start to the season, but ended up by finishing
off strong, 2nd Auckland Champs, 3rd Speedfest (2nd equal)
and 4th North Island Champs was certainly the icing on the
cake for the Super Saloon season. Then with the Late Model, it was nice to be asked back for a second season, putting into place what we had learnt the season before. Unfortunately, damage to the Late Model and a blown engine put me out for a couple of meetings but I still enjoyed spending time with the Australian competitors and travelling around seeing all the different tracks. Highlights for the season were both the New Zealand Super Saloon Champs and Australian Late Model Title. I thoroughly enjoyed racing at the New Zealand Super Saloon Champs, it was at one of my favourite tracks, Cromwell. Also, I took the huge leap and competed in the Australian Late Model Title. It was the first time I had taken part in this event and both I and my team learnt so much. The event was held at Premier Speedway in Warrnambool, this in itself is such a great facility, I also had the bonus of racing not only with the high calibre of drivers in the Late Model Racing Victoria Series, but also racing with so many other fantastic drivers from all the other states in Australia. Making it an extra special event, I had fellow competitor, sponsor and dear friends, Roger and Pam Nees from RACING.ORG.NZ with us in Australia supporting me for this event. I think we all agree one of the proudest moments was taking the NZ flag around the race track while our national anthem played with the representing state drivers following behind. I was truly humbled that they had organised for me to be a part of this. With the season now over, I would like to say a huge thank you to my sponsors, fans, family and friends for the huge amount of support they have shown me over the past season. If it wasn’t for you all I would not be in the position I am today. After the strong finish to the Super Saloon season I am excited to see what we can achieve together in the new 2017-18 season in both New Zealand and Australia.  Huge

28th August 2015 It was awesome to spend some time with Darryl who is working hard on the car. I enjoyed some good race talk with Wayne and Darryl about the Mastersbilt chassis and some general chat about Late Model comparisons. Definitely food for thought about how I will need to adapt my driving style for the new car.
